Back to Nature: The Fox

My friend, Ricky Shine, and I set out to Silverthorne, Colorado in hopes of snagging a press photo for his music career. Heavy snowfall that night pretty much put an end to our plans so we lit up the fireplace and decided to kick it at my aunt and uncle's condo to relax. While lounging, Ricky excitedly told me to look at the sliding glass door. Patiently sitting and watching us from the snowstorm was a fox. I slowly opened the door and he shied away. Thinking I missed my opportunity to say hi, I sat back down. He appeared suddenly our of the darkness. I laid down by the fire and reached for my camera whe little guy strutted around on the snowbank. With the porch light as my only light source, I continued to shoot, pushing the sensor on my Nikon D7000 as far as it would go. I shot most of these photos with my sigma 18-35mm f/1.8.
